• Target audience – who are our audience? Who will be aimed at? How and will it appeal to?
• Actors and actresses – do we want known actors? Do we want someone unknown? Do we feature the artist of the music?
• Mise en scene – Costume, Make Up, Setting, Props, Lighting, Body Language, Facial Expression, Sound.
• Budget – do we have enough to fund it? What will need to be brought?
• Organisation and time – will everything be done in time? How long do we have?
• Location – where is the appropriate location? Where will it be set?
• Controversial issues – will the music video bring up divisive issues? What issues should we be aware of?
• A statement/possible morals – are we attempting to convey a moral message? What will be needed to do this? It is sensible?
