Camera Angles & Shots

Through ICT and the words and letters of my thoughts, i will analyse my music video through the different conventions it uses.

Camera angle, shots & movements
Close Ups
As Close ups goes, these are used to show mainly of the expression of the face, to convey body language and such. In my music video it is used correctly in this way, and shows the distress, sadness and shock of the actress featured in my music video:

Much of the close ups are used during the lip syncing sequences to also convey emotion and identifies the female character as the character of the both narratives: the singer and the plot. It also identifies the male character as well, and through the close up of his lip syncing sequences we can identify him as the boy in the narrative as well.

Extreme Close Up
This camera shot is used to also develop a detailed element of the characters in this narrative. It provides the audience with deeper understand of emotions and during the lip syncing sequences we are directed to what the singer to saying, and are not distracted from anything else. I used this because I wanted the audience to listen to the lyrics because they, as well as wonderful, coincide with the narrative:

Mid Shots
These are mainly used to show the narrative of the plot that unfolds in my music video.

Long & Establishing Shots
Long shots are used mainly to show more of the event taking place, as well as to show the setting. In my music, this shot allows me to show the actions of both characters in the background and foreground:

This is effective as we witness the betrayal of the ex-boyfriend and the heartbroken reaction of the girl.
Establishing shots are used in my video to show where the girl featured is going, and therefore sets the scene in which she runs too:
