Postmodernism

Music Video often, and are usually, defined as postmodern, as they are determined by the influences of other texts, such as in films, other music videos, books and more. Post-modernism has definitely appeared in my music video.

Pastiche/Intertextuality
Pastiche is when a text imitates another text. Intertextuality means the shaping of texts' meanings by other texts, therefore basically influences and allusions. For my Music Video we can gather that the Twilight Saga has definitely been influences and imitated from other texts in my music video, a clear example of this would be this image:

Another example would be from Sinead O'Connor's music video Nothing Compares To You, due to the close ups:

Fragmentation

From the narrative structure we can idenify my music video post-modern in this way. The narrator structure is non-linear, and contains different events from different parts of the story, such as we start with the girl on the floor, we witness the Gig, we see the break up, we see her emotional turmoil and flashback of what her life was like with her boyfriend. It is not linear and we witness different events at different times.
